Help us grow our community work!

Help us shape the future of music in the driftless region by becoming a Friend of Mid West Music Fest. Help our community grow by support the work we do throughout the year!

In the past, we have faced snow storms, major floods, and now—a pandemic. We would like to thank our supporters who have weathered the storm with us, and now are moving into a bright new future with us as full-scale events are coming back!

Please join us this year in building back our capacity as an organization to put on eclectic, dynamic, and family friendly events, develop teen educational opportunities, and provide mental health resources to the communities we serve.

Some examples of programming we do throughout the year:

MWMF Sessions

A video series pairing musicians and bands with local videographers and recording studios to create energetic, dynamic, and professionally-crafted live performance videos. Similar to Audiotree or KEXP, MWMF Sessions is designed to create free resources for artists to use in promoting themselves and expand our organization's reach by working with new musicians, creatives, and studios.

Mental Health Initiative

Over the past two years, MWMF began an initiative to recognize and support mental health for musicians. We partner with several mental health professionals and organizations each year to help coordinate resources during our programming to help start a productive conversation on mental health and self-care and provide support for our artists and community.

Teen Press

Inspired by a documentary featured at Frozen River Film Festival, Teen Press is a student media effort designed to help connect local Winona and La Crosse area students with MWMF musicians and bands for unique one-on-one interviews. MWMF has worked with Cotter High School and Riverway Learning Community in Winona and Longfellow Middle School in La Crosse, WI to engage students with the local arts community and cultivate the next generation of local music lovers.
